About Serolsar Lake

Forest Trails and Clearings
Mata Jalori Mandir
Distance: 2 km | Duration: 1.5 hours
The Serolsar Lake Trek begins near Mata Jalori Mandir and follows a clear trail through dense pine and deodar forests. The route is easy to follow, with small tea stalls along the way.
After around 1 km, a forest clearing offers a good spot to rest. A short but steep climb from the main trail leads to the 360-degree Viewpoint, one of the trek’s highlights.
From here, enjoy panoramic views of the Pir Panjal Range and Great Himalayan Range. An early morning hike is recommended for beautiful sunrise views over the snow-covered Himalayan peaks.
Return to the main trail and continue towards Serolsar Lake.


360-Degree Viewpoint to Serolsar Lake
Distance: 3.3 km | Duration: 2 hours
The trail continues through dense pine and deodar forests, with moss-covered trees, narrow paths and frequent bird calls. A few clearings along the route offer good spots to rest.
The final section has rock-carved steps leading towards Serolsar Lake. A small tea stall is located near the lake.
Surrounded by forests, Serolsar Lake is known for its peaceful beauty and the Budhi Nagin Temple on its shore. Respect the local traditions and avoid littering around the lake.
